AT A GLANCE · 案例速览

Trigger / 触发: An older parent living alone suddenly becomes seriously ill at home.

Nobody reliably knows that normal life has stopped.

Where GAC fits / GAC 可承接: Establish a non-clinical safety baseline, notice meaningful breaks in routine, and connect detection to a real local response path.

The story

In a Beijing community, a volunteer who had spent years responding to older adults living alone described one case with painful clarity.

The older adult lived alone. Her children were abroad. She suddenly became seriously ill at home. By the time someone found her, she had been lying on the floor for a full day and night.

The dangerous gap was between “something happened” and “someone knows”

A phone call only works if the parent answers. A daily message only works if somebody notices when it does not arrive. A neighbor only works if there is a clear expectation to check. An SOS device only works if the person can reach or activate it.

The technology can vary. The operating requirement does not: notice → judge → trigger → respond.

Where GAC fits / GAC

This is where GAC’s Aging Safety OS logic matters most. Hardware is only one possible signal source; the value is in what happens after a signal exists.

  • Safety baseline / 安全基线: establish what “normal” looks like for the parent’s daily life.
  • Meaningful change / 有意义的变化: combine missed routines, no-response, local observations or supported sensor signals into an event worth checking.
  • Local response / 本地响应: once an event crosses the agreed threshold, trigger a person, task and evidence loop rather than leaving an alert on a screen.

Boundary / 边界: GAC is not an emergency service and does not guarantee prevention or rescue. It provides non-clinical visibility, coordination and response workflow within the agreed service scope.
